Product details
A hand-painted memorial keepsake of your ultrasound or embryo scan, created in soft shades of pink and finished with a #CircleOfSupport - either a ring of elephants gathered around your scan, or a gentle trail of elephants across the top.
Whether you are honouring a baby you didn't get to bring home, an embryo from a cycle that didn't take, or a rainbow baby carried after loss - this painting was made to hold what that scan means to you.
Every piece is painted by hand (never printed) on 300gsm artist paper using professional watercolours in a soft pink palette. I'll hand-letter a name, date, gestational age, or short quote if you'd like - just let me know at checkout.
Painted at 20x20cm and arriving framed in a natural oak/wood-look frame, ready to hang or place somewhere meaningful.
A portion of every Pink Elephants Edition painting is donated to The Pink Elephants Support Network to fund free peer support for parents across Australia experiencing Miscarriage and early pregnancy loss.

Materials & Care
Every piece starts as 300gsm, 100% cotton watercolour paper — the professional archival standard, chosen because it's built to outlast a nursery wall for decades, not just a few years on a shelf. Depending on the painting, I use either a hot pressed (smooth) or cold pressed (textured) finish.
The colour comes from Sennelier L'Aquarelle watercolours, handmade in France since 1887 using a honey-based formula that keeps the pigment richer and more luminous than standard student-grade paint. Every brush I use is cruelty-free nylon, never natural hair.
Caring for your painting:
- Arrives framed and ready to hang
- Avoid handling the painting itself directly where you can — the natural oils from fingers can affect the paper over time
- Keep it out of direct sunlight, the way you would any watercolour or archival print, to protect the colour long-term
The Process
Every painting starts with your photo — a phone snap of the screen, a scanned printout, or a clinic file all work. If you're ever unsure whether your image will translate well to paint, message me before you order and I'll take a look.
From there, I paint your piece entirely by hand on archival watercolour paper, in the palette you've chosen. This isn't a print or a filter over your photo — it's a genuine watercolour painting, which is part of why no two pieces are ever identical.
Turnaround is currently 14–20 days from when I receive your image, because each painting is done individually, checked by hand, and given time to dry and set properly before it's packaged. If you're ordering for a due date, a baby shower, or another date that matters, message me first and I'll tell you honestly whether the timeline will work — I'd rather say so upfront than rush a piece that means this much.
Once finished, your painting is gift-wrapped with a personal note and shipped tracked — free within Australia on orders over $100, with international shipping available at checkout.
Guarantee
I want you to love what arrives, not just accept it. I don’t provide mock ups or preview photos (unless previously discussed) as I find the final pieces tend to evoke something different to a phone snapshot. That being said, if once it’s in your hands, your painting doesn't feel right — the colours are off, something about the likeness doesn't sit well, anything at all — message me within 14 days of delivery and together we’ll come to a fix.
This is hand-painted, one-of-one work, so variation between your reference photo and the finished piece is normal — it's part of what makes it a painting rather than a print. What I'm guaranteeing is that it's made with care and that you're genuinely happy with it, not that it's a pixel-perfect copy of your scan.
I created Tiny Beginnings Co. after my own IVF journey - because I needed somewhere to hold those early images that felt worthy of what they meant. Every piece I make carries that same intention.

Supporting something special
5% of every sale is donated to The Pink Elephants Support Network — so no family has to walk the journey of miscarriage and pregnancy loss alone.
Created in support of the #CircleOfSupport
When a mother elephant loses her baby, the herd encircles her - using their trunks to form a physical circle of support.
From this image, The Pink Elephants Support Network was born. Founded in Sydney in 2016, this registered Australian not-for-profit was built on a single belief: no one should walk the journey of miscarriage and pregnancy loss alone.
This listing has been created in support of that mission. For every painting purchased here, 5% is donated to The Pink Elephants Support Network to help fund their free peer support program - delivered with evidence, empathy and connection - for parents across Australia.
Whether you are commissioning a watercolour from your only ultrasound, an embryo from a cycle that didn't take, or a piece to honour a baby who was here only briefly - your loss matters. Your baby matters. And your story deserves to be remembered. Each painting is hand-painted in watercolour from your image, made to order in Melbourne with care, comes framed, and posted to you in keepsake-quality packaging.
If you are in early grief and looking for support, free peer support is available at pinkelephants.org.au - you don't have to walk this alone.
